Chery is excited to announce it has received its first major New Zealand award with the Tiggo 4 crowned NZ Autocar’s Value Car of the Year powered by Auto Trader.

In one of the most hotly contested segments in the new-car market, the Tiggo 4 manages to deliver unparalleled value for money in economy where everything continues to get more expensive.

“For those after a truly affordable small SUV, the Chery Tiggo 4 is definitely worthy of consideration”, said Kyle Cassidy Editor NZ Autocar.

“It’s loaded while the price is low and is backed by Chery’s seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty along with a five-star ANCAP safety rating. It’s right sized for the city, yet the Tiggo 4 is a fit for the whanau too”.

NZ Autocar’s Car of the Year is now in its 31st year, making it one of the longest running awards of its type in the country.

Judging criteria for the class winners considers design, performance, driving dynamics, practicality and value.

The winners are agreed upon by a group of New Zealand’s most experienced motoring writers.

“It’s an honour to receive this prestigious award from Autocar. This recognition highlights the Tiggo 4’s exceptional balance of technology, style, and affordability, which Chery is renowned for”, said Lucas Harris Chery Aus & NZ Chief Operating Officer.

The Tiggo 4 acts as the entry point to Chery’s range starting from $24,990 (+ORC) for the Urban variant, while the Hybrid model kicks off at $29,990 (+ORC).

Both ICE and HEV are available for test drive now. More details can be found at the Chery website.
